Try these recipes straight from Scott’s Kitchen at home!
Burnt Orange Citronette
- 3 oranges
- ½ ea. Jalapeño (de-seeded)
- ½ oz. Ginger
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup rice vinegar
- 3 cup Orange juice
- ½ cup tomato juice
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 qt. Oil (veg. or canola w/ a little olive)
- salt & pepper
Zest, peel, & rough chop oranges. Place in pot w/ jalapeno, ginger, sugar and half of the rice vinegar reduce until caramelized, (very dark!!!!). Place in blender w/ O.J., tomato, lemon, & pineapple juices and rest of vinegar. Mix and slowly add oil. Season & strain (make sure your blender is large enough).
